About The Spellbound Witches
Our Mission
We are a Galveston County non-profit organization centrally located in Dickinson, Texas, with members hailing from North Houston to Galveston.
Our purpose is to promote community awareness through activities of volunteering, dancing, and appearing at both public & private events and fundraising in the Galveston County area. At The Spellbound Dancing Witches, we strive to create a vibrant community where we welcome new friendships and unity through dance, regardless of background or experience level.
Our Story
It started with a spark of magic in 2016.
A YouTube video titled "The Witches Dance" by the German group Wolfshäger Hexenbrut swept across the internet, enchanting viewers worldwide. The spirited performance inspired hundreds of dancing witch groups to form, each learning the choreography as a tribute to the original creators.
When our founder discovered the video, she saw something deeper than just a dance—she saw possibility. She envisioned a way to weave together joy, community, and purpose: a local troupe of dancing witches who could raise funds and gather supplies for those in need, all while celebrating the magic of movement and togetherness.
In 2023, that vision took flight. She shared her dream with a circle of friends who said yes without hesitation. Together, they built the foundation of what is now The Spellbound Dancing Witches.
Since our beginning, we've welcomed kindred spirits who share our love of service, creativity, and connection. Today, we perform at local events throughout Galveston County, supporting charitable organizations and spreading joy, laughter, and a touch of enchantment wherever we dance.
What began as inspiration from a single video has blossomed into a thriving nonprofit—proof that a little magic and a lot of heart can make a real difference, one performance at a time.

Come as you are—whether you're a graceful glider or a chaotic twirler, there's room on our broomstick for everyone. No auditions, just good vibes, great company, and the chance to spread a little magic in the world.

That's why we created the Black Hat Brigade—a membership option designed for those who want to be part of our magical community while choosing their own level of involvement.
The Black Hat Brigade serves as the second tier of membership within The Spellbound Dancing Witches. It allows members to participate in our mission, enjoy fellowship, and support our charitable efforts without the commitment required of active dancers.
